mCoat IM 61 is:
The mCoat IM 61 is certified to NSF/ANSI-61 standards for use and contact with potable drinking water. This allows MCOR to offer customers a hybrid urethane-modified-epoxy (UME) for coating and lining projects surrounding drinking water treatment and distribution where abrasion and corrosion protection is needed on these important physical assets.
MCOR often debates how to categorize the mCoat IM 61 coating system. We simply debate whether to place it in the 1000 Series as a coating for exterior protection or as a 2000 Series product for internal component protection, considering the fact that it can be for both. Although most applications would do well with the mCoat IM 61 as a coating system for “anything” water related, because of the novolac and titanium enhancements, it also does impressively well for internal components of drinking water pumps, impellers, and casings.
